- Rogers (2003) recommended that different approaches be used for different adopter categories because of their different characteristics (as cited in Parashos, 2013)
- Locations selected for future studies on the model should exist in areas that are conducive to communicable ideas.
- The Diffusion of Innovation is strongly based off of one gentleman's ideas, Everett M. Rodgers. In order for the idea to expand and become stronger it would be beneficial for others to do more research and possibly change the paradigms of the behavior. For example Simon Sinek provides a unique way of Diffusion of Innovation, and applies it to more of a relatable situations of social media.
